1.5 has already been confirmed (unless they put the lighting update back in 1.4, I haven’t looked at it since they said it would be out in 1.5), so I think it would be better to wait it out. The updates I saw to 1.5 aren’t really meaningful enough to destroy everyone’s work over, especially when you can simply get these new things by travelling further away from spawn into unexplored areas.
