Front Page › Forums › MCNSA › Possible Map Reset/New Ranks
Hey Guys, its Lewis Gravy (recently up ranked 🙂 ). Now I know our moderators (especially Ereh) have been working REALLY hard in preparation for the new map, and some gossip has been going around about going back to the 1.4 ranks (e.g.. Priest, Elder, etc…) and I think this is a great idea!
Firstly, these ranks showed clearly the hierarchy of the server, you could tell that a bishop was higher than a priest and you felt some kind of achievement when you went up a notch (pun included)
Also, in that map there was also Altarboy, the second rank after guest, and in the 1.5 map it got taken out. I hope that in the new map it’s added back in. Why? Because it was the rank saying you’ve been playing on MCNSA a bit, (so your not a guest) but not enough to become a priest. In terms of new abilities you get, its not too excessive, you can use water buckets and such. Anyways thats my views on the new map and the possibilities of the old ranks coming back. If you have any opinions or ideas about the upcoming update please share and lets all take our ./hats off to the moderators who make MCNSA the great server it is!
I can’t say anything officially, but I’m pretty certain we won’t be switching back to the old ranks.
We mods (root admins especially), went through so much trouble to bring you guys a whole new style of play for this map, not only with the ranks, but what perks you guys got with them, how the map layout was going to work, how towns were going to work, how events were going to be run etc. etc…
We at MCNSA have always had strong ties to the ways we did things in the past, but really, it’s time to move on. Give it a chance, forget the old ways, live in the present and look forward to the future.
Ah ok,
Thanks for the clarification squid, any chance you can give us a few hints about the new map and ranks 😉
