KeymasterThe following awesomeness is available to your MCNSA Survival Town, but there’s a small catch. You’re going to have to come up with a challenge worthy of the Perk — and pitch it to us. If it’s a good enough idea, we’ll approve it, and you’ll have your challenge to complete. If it’s a GREAT idea, we’ll adopt it as the challenge for future applicants, so use your imaginations!
All you have to do is think up an idea, get your thoughts together and reply to this topic. Present your ideas colorfully and have fun (screenshots, illustrations, multimedia presentations, song and dance numbers, tasteful nudity if you’re of age, use your imaginations). Convince us!
Here is the current list of goodies, with more to come. Please specify which town, and which thing you’re making your pitch for.
The Stone Brick Carver:
Place a stone brick on the gold block, receive a carved stone block!
A Shiny Thing!
It’s an altar of sorts, surrounded by shimmering fire. Ooooooohhh.
A Thing that goes BOOM!
It’s a cannon, but it won’t hurt anything, but it’ll be really loud and exciting and fun to push the button!
A Gifting Tree
Every (Minecraft) Morning, the tree drops some earthy gifts — sticks, leaves, things of that nature.
A Warp Pad to the Warp Hub!
Imagine the prestige of your very own direct teleport to the Warp Hub, where all the multiworld magic happens!
A Frameless Nether Portal!
So much nicer than the regular kind.

MemberFor the Gifting Tree you should have to make a tree farm with at least 4 spruce, birch and jungle and at least 8 Oak trees.

MemberMe and Berretaboy357 go looking for an (undiscovered) Stronghold, and if we find it I’d get a perk for my WIP city me and Systemlord_Thoth are working on
Sorry if I didn’t format it right :/May 23, 2013 at 10:05 pm #9987RogueHaven
ModeratorThe offer you make should be related to the perk you want. So if you want the altar, for example, you might first have to build it, then slay a chicken with an eye of Ender on it.
Or for the cannon, you first have to build a cannon, then give us x amount of redstone and x amount of gunpowder.
Or for the frameless nather portal, maybe you draw a symbol on the ground with redstone, fill a chest in the center with some raw beef (as a sacrifice) and then light the earth around it on fire.
It should be creative and fun, something other players would be able to do, too.

ParticipantThere should totally be some sort of place that heals you, you know hunger and all.
Probably a church, as per usual with any sort of video game.
I’m not entirely sure if this would be redundant with cities though :S
This idea can be totally changed if the church is offensive or whatever, but I’m not too sure what it would be besides a church …
(not to say that church is the best possible option)Just an idea to be thrown out there.

Fountains! Of Youth, of Chaos. We can add pretty much any buff to anything. It’s a matter of imlementing them in interesting ways, and acquiring them in fun ways.

MemberAlright, new idea.
I’ll stack 11 Oak trees on top of each other, and then drop saplings and leaves to 3 people below for a Gifting Tree. 😀
I’ll make a video if it gets approvedMay 24, 2013 at 7:16 am #9991greypo

32 Gunpowder, for the explosions
16 Slimeballs, ready to be prepped to become cannonballs
32 Redstone, to wire the cannon upI think this one could work.

Agreed. And, approved.
See how easy that was? Ok, who’s next?

MemberFor a hub spawn pad you should have to have 16 people in a town and should trade in 16 ender pearls, 24 obsidian, 32 redstone and a stone pressure plate

If you changed the bone meal to something else like nether rack you could make it the Altar/Special fire particles requirements

ModeratorFavors!
If a town or solo player builds an altar, statue, temple, fount, church, summoning circle, graveyard, or anything else magical or mystical in nature, they can appeal to the gods and spirits to bestow on them a favor!
Favors are proximity buffs or debuffs similar to beacons, but without the beam and last about as long as a potion. To get one, you’ll need to build an awesome tribute, such as a statue or temple – though anything you think will appease your gods or spirits will work – and some relevant sacrifices. For example, if you’re appealing to a mighty war god that watches over your city’s battles, asking him for strength, you might offer him some blaze powder or a mighty weapon. Maybe a book telling stories of war, or sacrifice a sheep on his altar.
For your first favor only, the gods will expect a nether star with your other offerings. Afterwarsd, you’ll have earned grace in their eyes and not have to sacrifice a nether star again.
They reward creativity and dedication. Jewels and food are one thing, but how about a feasting ceremony? How about a fight to the death amongst your greatest warriors?Or tomes of ancient poetry in praise of what your spirits guard over? The bigger the better, and the more you’ll be rewarded!
The following buffs/debuffs are available:
- Speed
Slowness
Haste
Mining Fatigue
Strength
Jump Boost
Nausea
Regeneration
Resistance
Fire Resistance
Water Breathing
Blindness
Night Vision
Hunger
Weakness
PoisonThese are available to towns and solo players alike. You can appeal to gods, spirits, nature, evil itself – whatever you or your people worship and write about. You can have as many Favors as you like, so long as your builds and offerings are worthy of them.
