So yes, these are always helpful for my I-need-new-music moods.
Currently, I’m listening to The Sound of Drums – Chameleon Circuit.

Chameleon Circuit’s a ‘trock’ band (time-lord rock), which means they basically only do music about Doctor Who. But they make very good music, and it’s pretty much what got me into watching the series. For those of you who do watch Doctor Who, this song is describing the Master’s death scene (and the Doctor begging him to stay and such).
California dreamin – The Mamas & The Papas Oldies but goodies 😀
http://soundcloud.com/iamjmsn <– latest discovery (discovered whilst listening to http://www.kcrw.com/music/eclectic24 which is awesome)
also, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xnmzins2Uow <– foo fighters in full 1080P performing Wasting Light in their garage. fucking epic.
Nice find on that last one, dotliz – just discovered Foo Fighters recently, and been loving them 😀
I have no idea how to classify this kind of music, but tis awesome!
Grohl/Foo fans might enjoy this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2XH5KrrPw8
It’s Them Crooked Vultures, which consists of Grohl on drums, JPJ from Led Zeppelin on bass/keys, and the frontman from Queens of the Stone Age. Rhythms you wouldn’t believe. This is one of the only super-groups I’ve heard that didn’t leave me cringing. Really great stuff.

Not bad – hadn’t heard of these guys before.
But speaking of supergroups: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RaT4HL4nr0
Metallica – Whiskey in the jar
Aww yeah.
Metallica, Foo? Tiny little infant babies, waiting to be eaten by the Antarctic Rock Gods, GWAR.
Sick Of You – http://youtu.be/Dbnm-0r3suM
The Road Behind – http://youtu.be/uWKrM5h4QYw
Zombies March! – http://youtu.be/7Uid93jUrf0
I’ve seen them live 4 times so far, the last time being a couple years ago, we (my brother and I) even managed to hang out backstage with the band afterwards and consume adult beverages and very, very expensive cigarettes. (winkwink.jpg). They are amazing dudes that I knew I would love forever when I was 18 and sent them a letter and in response I got a huge package of free band schwag and autographs and whatnot. They put on one helluva live show, human meat grinders, copious amounts of fake blood (among other bodily fluids) and the most amazing pits.
Before I Forget – Slipknot
I’m unhealthily addicted…how I fear for the children of this nation.

‘Cause we are GWAR! We’ve got guitars! We’ll eat your car! GWAR GWAR GWAR GWAR GWAR!
(You just won extra cool points Manic :D)
I just recently started listening to If These Trees Could Talk. They’re “postmetal” which is n00by genre-stuffing that translates to “powerful and emotional instrumental rock and roll with elements of heavy metal”. Check ’em out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQSiSqCiaDM
Final Fantasy – Distant Worlds: Maria and Draco. YEAAAAH OPERA

That was pretty awesome. While it’s nothing alike, I can’t help but be reminded of Randy’s Hot Tonight by Electric Six
